2015 Typography Trends


2015 has been a good year for typography with more and more people branching out when it comes to their designs and styles. We have some great trends going on, a few of which I will name and delve into!

One of the major typography trends this year are the typefaces that are being used. One I’ve seen a lot of are handwritten/handstyled typefaces. These are all over Pinterest and Creative Market. I can’t tell you how many times I see these kinds of fonts on Pinterest. Not that this is a bad thing. For the most part, handwritten typefaces are b-e-a-utiful! And with them comes a lot of creativity and, often, originality. They’re different. Not just in type itself, but in shape, size, thickness, curvature, etc. There’s nowhere to go but beyond with handwritten/handstyled typefaces.
